The 2019-20 UEFA Europa League group stage is finally over. After six matchdays, 24 teams have moved into the knockout stages. With the addition of the eight third-placed teams from the UEFA Champions League group stage, 32 squads will take part in the tournament s Round of 32 starting February next year.
There were some notable surprises throughout the group stage. For instance, Malmö topped Group B, PSV Eindhoven couldn t move past Group D, and Borussia Monchengladbach finished third in Group J. Other well-known teams that have been eliminated in the group stage are Feyenoord, St. Etienne and Lazio, just to name a few. Sevilla (15) points were the best team during the group stage followed by Sporting Braga (14 points). Four teams ended with 13 points: FC Basel, Manchester Un…
Team to Watch: Arsenal
Arsene Wenger s club are coming off of back-to-back victories for the first time this season. But those two victories were against Shrewsbury Town and Bolton Wanderers, who are bottom of the Premier League table. Nonetheless, the Gunners may finally be turning around their season.
Did You Know?
There have been 33 goals scored in the ten games Arsenal have played in 2011-12.
It would be a safe bet to expect more of the same, with Arsenal either scoring or conceding a healthy number of goals.
Players to Watch: Fernando Torres and Juan Mata
Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has finally found some of his Liverpool form over the past three games. Torres has tallied two goals and three assists in that span. He looks a legit…

What time is it? Time to start your Christmas shopping, fool!
The holiday shopping season seems to start earlier every fall and if you’re like me, you love a deal. I make it a mission not to pay full price for anything, including NFL futures.
As the 2022 NFL season soon hits the midway mark, there are a number of discounted NFL odds out there, as the schedule throws us curveballs and the markets overreact to the first-half results. There’s still plenty of football to be played and plenty of value on the futures board, if you know where to look.
Here are some NFL futures bets …
The Detroit Lions will attempt to bounce back from a loss as they return to Ford Field to host the Denver Broncos tonight.
Despite coming off an upset defeat in Chicago, Detroit sits atop the NFC North with a 9-4 record heading into Week 15. Meanwhile, Denver won six of its last seven games to climb above .500 and won’t be a pushover here.
NFL odds have the Lions installed as 5-point home favorites for this Week 15 showdown with the Over/Under at 47.5. Here are my best free NFL picks for the Broncos vs. Lions on Saturday, December 16.

A recent Hollywood trend has seen movie studios mothball finished films rather than release them, opting to take the tax credit instead of risking a box office bust.
The Denver Broncos and head coach Sean Payton did the same thing with former quarterback Russell Wilson, eating an $85 million shit sandwich with his release rather than sitting through another season with the polarizing passer.
Payton handpicked Wilson’s replacement, drafting Bo Nix in the first round to run his quick-hitting, timing-based passing playbook. Nix looked sharp in early preseason snaps and could be under center for Denver in Week 1.
Because of that, the NFL odds aren’t expecting much from the Broncos in 2024. The win total is listed at 5.5 (Under -120), …
